Affiliate xiii Bud, not Buddy!
Affiliate 13 O Everyone in the band gets really quiet. A man named Jimmy recognizes a connection betwixt Bud and the telegram Calloway received. O Snapping out of his shocked stupor, Calloway scolds Bud for accusing him of existence his male parent and asks where his mom is. O Bud tells Calloway his mom is dead, and Jimmy tries to discover out if Bud has any family or if he is from an orphanage. Bud answers in a roundabout way so that they won't send him back to the Home.
Affiliate 13 O Kind of frustrated with Bud'south answers, Jimmy sends him away so the band can talk. O Jimmy calls Bud over and tells him that the band will feed him, simply then he's got to tell them the truth. O Bud agrees. He has never eaten in a restaurant before. This one is the best eating place in Flintstone and is called the Sugariness Pea.
Chapter 13 O Calloway makes it actually clear that he wants nix to do with Bud or his story. Bud starts to wish one of the other guys were his dad, since Calloway isn't very overnice. O Jimmy goes off with Calloway. Since Bud is going to ride with the other band members, he helps load their gear. O Doug "the Thug" teases Bud and tries to egg him on into getting in more trouble with Calloway, just Bud is as well smart for that.
Chapter xiii O Steady Eddie sets the record straight so that Bud doesn't go and brand Calloway really mad. O Then, believe information technology or non, Bud breaks i of his Rules and Things for Having a Funner Life and Making a Better Liar Out of Yourself (number sixty-three): never say something bad about someone yous don't know, specially around strangers…

Chapter 13 O He says that it is "just my luck […] to discover my daddy and he turns out to be a hateful one-time coot, " and then regrets it (13. 78). Thug pretends to jot it downwards. O Steady Eddie sticks upward for Bud against Thug, who keeps teasing him.
